Her Aunt and Uncle, Edith and Hans Jensen owned and operated Camp Iowa on the North Shore of Ten Mile, where Norma and her family rented a cabin for many years. In 1949, her family built a cabin of their own on the North Shore, near the corner of 50 and 71. He retired in 2020. He graduated from Garner High School in 1956 and served in the Army Reserves.
